    Colin Palombo

    Colin Palombo is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Innovation Framework Technologies, a software & consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations step-up their innovation performance. IFT has offices in the US, Europe & Japan, and was the first company in the world to be awarded the latest ‘Agile Stage-Gate® Ready’ certification by Stage-Gate International. Over the last year, Colin has focused on creating and validating a hybrid agile plus stage & gate process to help companies accelerate their innovation program.

    Over the last 25 years Colin has helped companies apply innovation best practices across a range of industries in the US, Europe, Japan & Korea. Colin is a visiting Professor of Innovation at Strathclyde Business School, the UK’s ‘2016 Business School of the Year’, and a Mastermind member of Peter Diamandis’ Abundance 360 organization. Colin holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, and an MA in Engineering & Computer Science from Cambridge University.

    Agile Stage-Gate in 9 Steps

    This is an interactive simulation workshop that takes participants through a nine step process to learn how to use agile techniques to bring bold innovation to market.

    This session will provide participants with the opportunity to compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of using a hybrid agile stage & gate process. Aimed at practitioners eager to explore how adopting, adapting and integrating Agile and Stage & Gate principles to create a hybrid NPD process might solve some of the biggest innovation challenges that they are currently facing. Four important takeaways from this workshop will include:

    • How to set-up a hybrid process from scratch
    • How to modify a traditional Stage-Gate process to integrate the benefits of Agile
    • Pitfalls of an Agile process and how to avoid them
    • Implications for project leaders, project teams and gatekeepers
